Justaskmeout's Summer Date Ideas
Summer in London is great for dating but with so much choice it can be hard to decide where to go! We’ve done the hard work and picked out the top 5 Summer date ideas below.
Summer Date Idea 1: A rooftop romance
Beautiful views, delicious food and a gorgeous date on a warm summers evening adds up to the perfect romantic night out. Although there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, we would recommend The Boundary rooftop bar and grill in Shoreditch and also Aqua Nueva on Regents Street.
Summer Date Idea 2: Row-row-row your boat
There is little more romantic than a strapping gent rowing a lovely lady in the sunshine and if things get too hot you can always splash each other a bit to cool yourselves down! Regent’s Park is the obvious choice in Central London but Richmond Riverside is possibly even more scenic. If you want more inspiration we came across this fantastic blog that we recommend you check out.
Summer Date Idea 3: You gotta roll with it on roller blades!
Roller-blading in Hyde Park is the Summer equivalent of ice-skating in Winter and both make a perfect first date. You’ll find ourselves laughing at each other, impressing each other, and generally having a great time outside in the lovely weather. Plus it’s the perfect excuse to hold hands. Grab an ice-cream and hey presto – perfect Summer date! You can hire your blades from the London Skate Centre.
Summer Date Idea 4: Just have a Picnic!
Ok, it’s not exactly a new idea – but it certainly is a great summer date idea so we thought it worth reminding you! Just pick your favourite London park, throw a few strawberries and something chilled into a cool bag, grab your picnic blanket and hey presto – you have a wonderful, romantic daytime date! In fact, we think it’s such a brilliant summer date idea that we’ve made it one of the selections you can tick when you ask someone out. So why not go ahead and ask someone out for a picnic right now?
Summer Date Idea 5: Get starry-eyed watching a film under the stars
What could be cooler than sitting in a deck chair and watching a film under the stars with views over the rooftops of London? The Rooftop Film Club shows films on four of London’s finest rooftops: Queen of Hoxton (Shoreditch), The Roof Gardens (Kensington), Bussey Building (Peckham Rye), Springbridge Car Park (Ealing Broadway) and Netil House (London Fields) until 30th September 2013. You and your date can eat fabulous food, enjoy a cold drink and watch a great movie on the big screen as the stars come out around you. Romantic, or what!?
